Plant Studies

Picture of Arabidopsis thaliana

Arabidopsis thaliana is a popular organism for studying plant development. In collaboration with Professor June Medford and her co-researchers at Colorado State University, we have acquired OCM images of individual plants as they emerge from the soil and generate their characteristic spiral pattern of leaves. These images have been spliced into QuickTime movies to illustrate the 3-D perspective and information that OCM can provide.

The movies available below were made using QuickTime 4.0. To view them you must have the free Quicktime Plug-in, available at http://www.quicktime.com.
