The People of the Physics Department

The Harvey Mudd Physics Faculty combines a breadth of research interests and backgrounds with a commitment to teaching to help every student succeed. Current research interests and activities include imaging developing embryos with an optical coherence microscope, giant magnetoresistance, magnetic transistors, stellar formation in the Milky Way, modeling the dynamics of stress in the crust between earthquakes, the stability of black holes, the physics of small atomic clusters, and semiconductor nanostructures.
