Astronomy 121- Cosmology and Extragalactic Astrophysics

Description Examines the large-scale structure of the universe and the evolution of the universe from the Big Bang to the present epoch. Topics include alternate cosmologies, dark matter, cosmic background radiation, and formation and evolution of galaxies and clusters of galaxies. This course is being offered jointly with Pomona and Joint Sciences and is at Pomona college.

Prerequisites: Astronomy 62, Physics 52, or equivalent.

2 credit hours.
